The ultimate fitness experience

Welcome to the Rockcity Indoor Climbing Centre in Hull, Yorkshire, UK. This
complex is also home to the 'We Love Mountains' mountain sports store and
the 'Subculture' indoor skatepark and skatestore.

Rockcity is one of the UK's largest indoor climbing centres. Opening its
doors in September 1994 and has seen much development to provide a unique
blend of many different types of artificial climbing surface, totalling in
excess of 1600 square metres. Our choice of top roping walls, lead walls
and bouldering is some of the most varied in the world.

Climbing is one of the best ways to get and keep fit. Many people use our
climbing walls instead of going to the gym as their exercise to improve
their health and fitness.

There are two ways to climb at Rockcity, supervised or unsupervised. To
climb unsupervised you will need to demonstrate to Rockcity that you already
have the necessary experience and skills to do this. More info.

All young people under the age of 18 need to be supervised regardless of
their experience.

If you do not have the necessary experience and need to be supervised we
have a range of services for you. More info.

We offer NICAS - National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme for the young
climbers attending our Young Climbers Clubs. This is also really popular
with local schools for lessons and school trips and youth groups as it
offers a syllabus that can be used to prove learning outcomes along side the
activity.

Rockcity is also an AALA - Adventurous Activities Licensed Provider offering
Outdoor Climbing and Hill-walking.

We use RIA, SPA and CWA instructors to run our indoor courses and provide
training for beginners and novices and to supervise our young people and
groups.
