Here is a behind the scenes look at the route setting of Rockcity. We have tens of thousands of climbing holds which get regularly removed from the walls, cleaned and then reset, tested and graded, transforming them into fresh new routes and boulder problems.
One of the most commonly asked questions is ‘how do we plan the routes? Are they designed before hand and then build to a specification?’
Well this video is an insight into the work that goes into stripping, cleaning, setting, testing and grading some of the boulder problems on the Moon Wall. Starring Max Kellock and Steve McClure.
